Summary of Jason's Past:
My family was forced to endure some hard
times. We have had quite a few Christmases without
presents. We have been on welfare and food stamps because
we couldn't make ends meat. We have also been homeless for
approximately a year, all six of us living in one hotel room for
a portion of said time. As a teenager I worked from the
day that I was physically able to do so. From painting and
construction with my father, mowing every yard I could, to
waking on a fresh snowy morning anxiously waiting for the snow
to stop so I could shovel driveways for money. When I was
15 I started working as a waiter and did so for 12 years.
The first couple years, I did as my sister had done and brought
the money home and gave it to my parents to help support the
family. All through high school I paid for all of my basic
needs, such as clothes, and any of the extras that I desired,
after sufficing for the family. I took out loans for
my schooling as an engineer and worked 40 hours a week all
through school to pay for all of my living expenses. It
was extremely hard, but it taught me the value of hard work.
I graduated Cum laude from the school of Industrial Management
and Systems Engineering in June of 2002. I landed a job
with IBM as a project manager. I derived the business plan
for Aquatic Physical Therapy & Beyond in 2003. It took
about a year to get enough investor money to really start
negotiating with the banks. I then attempted to get a loan
to launch the clinic by meeting with the high ups at about 22
different banks. I finally found Rogger Plott with CCB who
could see my vision and determination. He backed us, five
years later and thousands upon thousands of hours worked, here
we are today!
The Major Issues that I, Jason
Olivotti, Feel Need Addressed & An Idea as to How to Fix said Issues
-
GIVE THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE, BACK TO THE PEOPLE:
There are a couple topics that we the people need further
investigated with this issue and need them investigated soon
before we have no power.
- Why is our president signing off on
major decisions without congressional opinion? Doesn’t what
we want count for anything?
-
Do you
remember voting for a
Super Highway to connect Canada, US & Mexico? ME
NEITHER ("Spain
will own most of the toll roads that connect to the
superhighway. Mexico will own and operate the Kansas
City Smart Port. And NAFTA tribunal, not the U.S.
Supreme Court, will have the final word in trade
disputes.)
-
Do you
remember voting for a
Unionization of Canada, US & Mexico? ME NEITHER
- Many Americans are unaware of the
Bilderberg Conferences that take place each year and
is a secret meeting of the top officials in the world!?
Please go to the
Bilderberg site to read all about this secret
society that many of our presidents and other officials
have attended, yet never speak about it. Did you ever
wonder why Busch Senior is now such good friends with
Bill Clinton? Did you know that they both desire to
have a New World Order and both attend the secret
Bilderberg meetings?
-
Do you
remember voting for the members of the
North American Competitiveness Council that
make decisions for us and affect our border patrol? ME
NEITHER
- Why do we have the delegate and super
delegate approach for our elections and don't just go by
what the Americans vote for? Why have we made an election so
complicated? Is it to hide something such as the fact that
we aren’t really the ones to decide who will be our
president?
- When it comes to ALL bills that are to
influence America, they need to be viewable online,
Americans’ should be able to submit their opinion and it
should count towards the decision of whether the bill will
pass.
-
TAX BREAKS FOR THE SMALL BUSINESSES:
Being a small
business owner myself, this is a topic I feel strongly about.
Small business owners put their lively hoods at risk, endure
extreme stresses and work hundreds of hours to be successful.
Small businesses are being put under by the large corporations
where the majority of the money is being redirected to just a
few individuals rather than many small businesses being
successful and all of those small business owners sharing in the
hard earned wealth. Therefore I would create big tax breaks for
the small business owners. Small business owners that produce
jobs would be given even larger tax breaks based on the salaries
that they pay, how many jobs they support and how those salaries
are divided amongst said jobs. In other words, if you provide 4
Americans with $60,000 per year salaries, you would receive a
larger tax break in comparison to an employer that pays 1
American $150,000 and the other 3 Americans $30,000 per year.
My system would basically support paying American's more,
keeping the jobs in America where we need them and supporting
the small businesss.
-
Actors, Sports Stars and OTHERS Getting Paid MILLIONS OF
DOLLARS: An extremely large percentage of Americans' money
is paid out to actors, sports stars & others. The majority of
this money is spent on their own heart's desires, which is fine,
but they should be taxed highly for it (~70%). They would only
be able to receive tax breaks if they produce jobs here in
America with said funds and the tax breaks would be based on the
salaries that they pay, how many jobs they support and how those
salaries are divided amongst said jobs
- UPDATE 10/27/2008 Jason's FAIR TAX LAW IMPLEMENTATION: Our
tax system has some serious issues.
- We never own anything. It is sad when
property tax alone is evicting Americans from their homes
that they worked so hard for. We buy a house with our hard
earned money that we and our employer are taxed on, we then
pay property tax each year, we then die and leave it to
someone else who then gets stuck with an inheritance tax &
property tax for every year after that??!!?? My God!
- The American government needs to start
each year with a zero based budget evaluating the costs that
had been expended the year before and learning what we can
cut before instantly taking the stance of increasing taxes
to cover the increased costs.
- Income tax was put into place in World
War II to support the war. More importantly, the government
needed to mop up the influx of expendable cash that
Americans now had, giving the government the ability to
control inflation, deflation and the market itself (http://www.devvy.com/notax.html).
I therefore feel that income tax needs to be eliminated. We
should be taxed on the luxury items that we purchase and not
the money that we need just to survive such as paying the
electric bill, food, rent, healthcare and much more. This
would help part of the healthcare & welfare crisis’s that we
are in today, but needs to be combined with my tactics
below.
- REGULATING HEALTHCARE COMPANIES,
INSURANCE NETWORKS, HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS AND OTHERS: Being a
healthcare provider myself, it is amazing how many people state
that the cost of healthcare is going up. My payments from
insurance have done nothing, but gone down and the same goes for
doctors and many other medical professionals as I am sure they
will attest, yet monthly premiums for patients from their
insurance companies have gone up 5% to 40% per year. In
addition, as everyone is aware, co-pays have increased by 400%
reducing the amount that insurance has to pay by 50%. In addition to that, some
insurances do everything they can not to pay me for services
rendered. If you were to go to work for an insurance company
you would find that many of their bonuses and other pay
incentives are based on the number of claims and charges that an
employee can deny. There needs to be an organization that
regulates insurance companies, insurance networks, medical
providers and any others that take a role in providing cost
efficient quality healthcare to All Americans alike. Someone
needs to ensure that the best interest of all parties involved
is the health of the patient and not just the financial gains of
a FEW.
- WE REALLY NEED TO WORK ON OUR WELFARE
SYSTEM: I am amazed that we possess a welfare system that
encourages working less. The ones that strive to be as
productive as they can be for America need to be supported by
America. Not the other way around. Please remember, as I
stated in the summary about me, I was on welfare at one time!
These days if you are on welfare, the more you work results in
you making more money so the government cuts your assistance,
despite the fact that you still don’t have enough to provide for
your family because 1/3 or more of the extra you make goes to
the IRS and you still can’t pay your bills. This makes no
sense. If I am struggling to just pay my bills, don’t let the
IRS deduct a 1/3 of it right from the start. If I work more
hours and to my best ability, reward me for it, don’t penalize
me. We really need to reconsider our current structure, so that
we inspire individuals to work harder and to their best ability,
assuring them that they will be taken care of for the efforts in
supporting America.
- WAR IN IRAQ & IMMIGRATION: I would
setup timelines and true objectives for withdrawal of our
troops. Not just a general objective such as the one we have
all heard for the past 5 year, “to win the war on terror”. We
are not the world police, but I would ensure that there is no
threat to America. I would use tactics to ensure that we have
leverage if any further issues arise in said region of the
world. Any nuclear threat would be addressed through the UN
first. If it is a direct threat to America, I would address the
situation despite whether the UN wishes to stand by our side or
not. I would not over utilize our military as we have been,
policing the world, but would keep our military fully skilled
and armed with the most technological advances to ensure
America’s safety. I would tightly patrol our borders. If
someone wishes to become an American, we welcome them with love,
but they would be required to go through the procedures to do so
legally to once again ensure America’s safety.
